Monitoring & Geotechnical Instrumentation Technician

Position Summary
We are seeking a Monitoring Technician with 2+ years’ geostructural monitoring experience to work on construction, renewable, and development projects. The Monitoring Technician will work on Monitoring Projects which will require fieldwork for large construction projects and work closely in collaboration with the project teams. This position will require:

Key Responsibilities
• Work with multiple clients, contracts, and projects at the same time.
• Be able to work independently, as well as as part of a team.
• Provide monitoring equipment field installation and troubleshooting
• Maintain geotechnical instrumentation equipment and keep calibrations current on necessary instrumentation.
• Be willing to travel to assist, oversee, or perform installation of geotechnical instrumentation monitoring systems.
• Prepare field reports and track installation information. Provide reports to the Monitoring Manager
• Interact and communicate with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels.
• Install and integrate geostructural monitoring devices as well as other vendor hardware and sensors at project sites
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to clients, as needed
• Create basic plans and figures using AutoCAD, MicroStation and ESRIAdditional Responsibilities
• 2+ years of experience in the field as a Technician
• Experience with Trimble Business Center & T4D software
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint software
• Instrumentation software and hardware installation and troubleshooting
• AutoCAD, MicroStation and GIS skills suitable for developing geotechnical deliverables
• Ability to travel to multiple project locations as needed for Geostructural Monitoring activities

Additional Responsibilities
• 2+ years of experience in the field as a Technician
• Experience with Trimble Business Center & T4D software
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint software
• Instrumentation software and hardware installation and troubleshooting
• AutoCAD, MicroStation and GIS skills suitable for developing geotechnical deliverables
• Ability to travel to multiple project locations as needed for Geostructural Monitoring activities

Desired Qualifications
• 2+ Years’ Experience Required
• 2+ Years’ Construction Field Experience
• AS or BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Surveying or Geological Engineering.
• Valid Driver’s license
