Location: New York, NY 10004 (HYBRID; must be able to work in-office 3 days per week)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day (40 hours per week)

Pay Range: $24 to $29 per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly capable Loan Operations Specialist to join our well-known Financial Services client's team. The role will involve working closely with external clients and internal stakeholders, including Asset Management, Financial Controllers, Credit, and Legal departments, to ensure efficient operational functions and risk management across all FSL asset classes. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of pertinent credit and closing documentation to establish bilateral and syndicated loan facilities within internal booking systems.
  • Execute daily loan servicing tasks, including processing borrowing/funding requests and settlements/paydowns for bilateral and syndicated facilities.
  • Manage collateral by overseeing the loading and review of daily custodial reports, as well as coordinating with external document custodians on exceptions. Facilitate collateral releases for the transfer of loan documents to investors acquiring loans from the warehouse line.
  • Monitor borrowing bases, including warehouse line expiration dates, advance limits, collateral eligibility, and deficiencies. Coordinate with clients and business units as necessary, and collaborate with credit and business units on temporary exceptions.
  • Perform daily reviews of exception/break reports and take appropriate actions to address discrepancies.
  • Prepare and distribute periodic invoices for interest and fees.
  • Address ongoing and ad hoc inquiries/requests from clients in a timely and professional manner.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Previous experience in institutional lending operations.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate ability to learn quickly with strong flexibility in regard to the duties assigned and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with Loan IQ (preferred).
  • Knowledge in warehouse lending and collateral, or residential and consumer lending (preferred).
