Compensation: $110,000–$140,000 (base salary range) + Annual Bonus (Target 15%)

Overview:

Our client is an emerging electric vehicle manufacturer focused on reviving a legacy American SUV and truck brand through next-generation electrification and advanced manufacturing. With a new U.S. production facility underway, the company is building out cutting-edge manufacturing operations from the ground up, combining automation, robotics, and modern production systems.

The Sr. Robot Programmer will play a critical leadership role within the manufacturing team, overseeing robotic paint and sealer programming operations. This position is responsible for managing a team of programmers, optimizing robotic processes, and driving continuous improvement across paint application systems. This is a highly hands-on and strategic role ideal for someone with deep technical expertise in robotic programming and a passion for building scalable, high-performance manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of paint and sealer robot programmers to ensure daily operational efficiency.

  • Train and develop team members to enhance programming, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement capabilities.

  • Monitor team performance and ensure key performance indicators are consistently achieved.

  • Plan and coordinate programming schedules to ensure appropriate coverage based on production needs.

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to support quality and operational goals.

  • Provide regular reporting and updates to leadership on team performance and project status.

  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to optimize paint and sealer operations.

  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across robotic systems and manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience programming robotic paint and/or sealer applications.

  • Experience with robotic systems such as Fanuc, ABB, or Duerr.

  • Strong understanding of paint and sealer processes, including manufacturing and quality control standards.

  • Experience with process simulation software and robotic programming tools.

  • Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies.

  • Experience working within quality management systems (e.g., ISO, VDA).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong understanding of safety protocols within automated manufacturing environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.

  • Experience with FANUC Paint Tool, Dispense Tool, or similar programming software.

  • Certifications in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Experience supporting new facility launches or greenfield manufacturing environments.

  • Strong leadership and team development experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments.

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence.
