Job Title: Transmission Line Construction Department Leader (High Voltage Transmission Construction)

Compensation: $145,000–$180,000 (base salary range) + Bonus
Overivew: A rapidly growing organization in the power infrastructure sector is seeking a hands-on leader to build and lead a newly developing Transmission Line Construction department within a larger operational division.
This role is ideal for someone coming from the high-voltage transmission construction world who has progressed through the field in positions such as:
Foreman
General Foreman
Superintendent
Construction Manager
Operations Manager
The company is looking for a builder — someone capable of establishing processes, helping assemble crews, coordinating equipment needs, and driving execution across transmission line construction projects. While this is a leadership role with long-term departmental growth potential, the successful candidate must also be comfortable stepping into the field and running crews when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and help scale the transmission line construction function
Lead day-to-day construction operations for HV transmission line projects
Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and construction activities
Oversee equipment rentals, logistics, and utilization
Support project execution, scheduling, safety, and productivity
Assist in developing operational processes and team structure
Serve as a hands-on leader capable of field supervision when required
Work closely with project management and executive leadership on growth initiatives
Ideal Background:
High school diploma (or GED) required; college degree preferred
Extensive experience in high-voltage (HV) transmission line construction
Background progressing through field leadership roles
Experience managing crews and field operations
Understanding of construction equipment, logistics, and jobsite coordination
Ability to balance strategic department development with hands-on execution
