Additional Info from our client:
We are looking for a talented individual to support the creation and production of eBooks for a diverse range of publications, including children's books, cookbooks, and photography books.
The role involves converting already designed books into polished, user-friendly eBook formats, requiring high-quality digital design across multiple eBook levels and formats.
This position will involve collaborating with a small team of around six people.
We are seeking candidates who possess proficiency in Adobe InDesign and eBook export workflows, strong digital design capabilities across formats, and a degree in Design with 2-5+ years of experience.
Experience in digital or print publishing—whether its magazines, books, or related layout work—is essential. Moreover, a strong layout sensibility and the ability to deliver visually appealing eBook experiences are crucial.
We are looking for someone who is outgoing, positive, pleasant, and a clear communicator, and who can work independently within a small team environment.
As the manager reviews resumes, candidates with publishing experience as a digital publisher for magazine books and any sort of layout experience will stand out.
Experience in digital or print publishing, particularly if they have worked for notable publishers such as Random House, Sterling, or Hatchett, will be highly regarded.
While open to candidates with 2-5 years of experience, those with 5-10 years of digital publishing experience and a proven track record in creating eBooks will be considered highly experienced candidates and will have an advantage.
This position is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S. It is a 24-month assignment with multiple projects over this duration. There are no set work hours, as work will be based on project needs, so flexibility is a must. Projects will be scheduled in advance and will align with the book publishing calendar, with a typical lead time of 30 days.
