DevOps Engineer

Position Type: Contract (Full-Time, 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day).  **W2 Only, no C2C**

Pay Rate: up to $41.00 per hour

Our client, a Fortune 500 Accounting Firm, is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a contract assignment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Ensure that all deployed cloud solutions follow client's Cyber Security requirements and compliance controls by leveraging existing templates, documentation and other reusable sources provided by client's management
• Configure infrastructure through code (ARM for Azure, Cloud Formation for AWS)
• Configure build and release pipelines for cloud and/or on-premise solutions
• Monitor and support client's cloud and/or on-prem applications using approved industry tools and practices defined by client
• Respond to service requests from the development organization under guidance from client's management
• Participate in on-call rotations that occur during normal hours within your time zone

QUALIFICATIONS:

• General knowledge of traditional network, firewalls and load balancers
• Strong technical documentation skills; workflows and support documentation

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience with automating tasks using scripting tools. (PowerShell, Terraform, AWS Cloud formation, GCP Deployment manager, etc.)
• Knowledge of modern compute technologies, containers, serverless and PaaS technologies
• Hands-on experience with designing and deploying Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS)
• Knowledge of Cloud networking and routing technologies (VPC, Security groups, NACL, Load Balancing and Availability zones) and traditional network, firewalls and load balancers, and hub-spoke model
• Knowledge of the design and deployment of dynamically scalable fault-tolerant, reliable, and highly available applications
• Understanding of the Federal Government compliance requirements a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to and collaborate with business leaders
• Knowledge of information technology and enterprise architecture best practices
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• May require a security clearance
