Jr. Banking Operations Specialist

Pay Rate: $30-$34 per hour
POSITION OVERVIEW: This is an exciting entry-level operations role with a leading global investment banking firm.  The Jr. Banking Operations Specialist will support Tier 1 investment bank clients and their back office teams with the operational aspects of banking activities and processing of trade-related activities.  This role will support either the Credit Derivatives -OR- the FX Operations divisions.  See more information below:
  • Credit Middle Office:  The Credit Middle Office team is responsible for support the Trading and Sales desk to assist in the booking, matching and allocation of trades. The Confirmation Execution Group (CEG) is primarily responsible for obtaining legal confirmations on over-the-counter (OTC) trades booked for the Derivatives businesses. This involves the daily monitoring of outstanding trades covering a wide range of industries and products.
  • FX Operations Division:  Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow. Analysts joining Operations teams will be on the front-line of the division enabling all of the firm’s businesses. This includes taking an active role in the life-cycle of each deal, trade or transaction.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's (or Graduate) degree in Finance, Business, or related field is required
  • 0-3 years' relevant experience in banking operations
  • Operations and financial services knowledge are preferable
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments
