To achieve its mission of alleviating social isolation among older adults, the staff and trained volunteers ensure that older adults throughout Manhattan and Westchester are socially connected, engaged, and aging well in their own homes.

Position Summary

The Program Administrator will carry out a range of administrative, customer service, outreach and communication activities that support the development, delivery, and operational excellence of multiple Connect Through Tech programs.  Responsibilities will be primarily within the technology learning programs.  The ideal candidate possesses a flexible, proactive, and positive mindset; has the ability and interest to learn and integrate new technology into program opportunities; and is a creative thinker who puts forward new ideas

 

Responsibilities

  • Be an important contributor and collaborator on the Connect Through Tech team.
  • Match volunteers and clients for tech help based on varied criteria for successful learning
  • Assist with developing and facilitating trainings for tech volunteers and interns.
  • Manage all aspects of scheduling including volunteer visits, volunteer orientations, meetings and any additional events occurring onsite or remotely.
  • Use excellent customer service and strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with internal and external constituents on a wide range of matters; communicate clearly and positively verbally and in writing with client participants, volunteers, the public and other staff.
  • Develop, and improve administrative systems and procedures for new and evolving programs
  • Input data, prepare reports, and ensure the organization and integrity of data using Client Information Management System (Salesforce) and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Provide logistical support for marketing, outreach, and other aspects of program operations.
  • Represent Connect Through Tech Programs at outreach events and at internal meetings.
  • Collaborate with other departments on shared projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal  social workers to effectively support clients when needed.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of office volunteers and interns.
  • Provide other administrative support as needed, including on occasional evenings and Sundays.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Experience working with older adults, volunteers, or non-profit organizations a plus
  • Excellent data entry skills and knowledge of database use including reporting; Salesforce experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 1-2 years of related experience or additional years of work experience in lieu of a college degree.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
  • Availability to work 10-15 Sundays and/or evening events per year
