Overview:

• We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of over 10 years in civil engineering, with expertise in assembling comprehensive civil design packages for various projects, including stormwater management, roadway elements, bulkheading, and more. This role involves a range of responsibilities from feasibility studies to project closeouts, emphasizing client interaction, teamwork, and coordination with regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Civil Design:

• Assemble complete civil design packages for projects, with a focus on stormwater management, roadway elements, bulkheading, etc.
• Utilize Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) tools for design work.

 

Feasibility Studies/Investigations:

• Conduct feasibility studies and investigations as part of project planning.
• Evaluate project parameters and propose solutions aligned with client needs.

 

Permitting and DSDC:

• Lead the permitting process, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Navigate through the Department of State Development and Construction (DSDC) requirements.

 

Documentation and Reporting:

• Write comprehensive reports and specifications.
• Gather information, draft correspondence, and complete progress reports.
• Ensure accurate project documentation for project closeouts.

 

Client Interaction and Teamwork:

• Interact with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates.
• Collaborate with professionals from other disciplines within the organization.

 

Coordination and Grant Securing:

• Coordinate permitting efforts with various local regulatory agencies.
• Identify and secure grants to support project initiatives.

 

Field Inspection:

• Conduct field inspections as needed to ensure construction compliance with design plans and specifications.

 

Topo Surveying:

• Topo surveying experience is a plus and will be advantageous for this role.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering.
• Proficient in CADD tools and other relevant software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Experience in coordinating with regulatory agencies and securing grants.
