Job Title: Battery Projects Construction Manager

Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Central California. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the construction activities at two distinct sites: Henrietta Peaker Facility in Lemoore, CA, and Malaga Power, LLC in Fresno, CA. This is a critical position to fill promptly, and the selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of these projects.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Oversee the construction of a 99.4MW one-hour Battery Energy Storage System at Henrietta Peaker Facility in Kings County.
• Manage the construction of a 97MW one-hour Battery Energy Storage System at Malaga Power, LLC in Fresno County.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

Site Coordination:

• Work closely with project stakeholders, contractors, and subcontractors to coordinate construction activities.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between the two project sites, both located approximately 30 minutes apart.

Budget Management:

• Responsible for monitoring project budgets and ensuring cost-effective construction practices.
• Provide regular financial reports and updates to the senior management team.

Travel:

• The position requires extensive travel as the candidate will be on-site at both the Henrietta and Malaga projects.
  • Accommodations: The budget supports a hotel stay in the area for 5 nights per week, reflecting the expectation of frequent travel.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure construction meets industry standards and project specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential issues promptly.

Safety Compliance:

• Enforce and promote a safety-first culture on construction sites.
• Ensure all construction activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager in energy storage or related projects.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Ability to manage multiple construction sites simultaneously.
• Knowledge of battery energy storage systems and associated infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site as needed.
• Familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes in California.
