Marketing Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage marketing campaigns and projects
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Project Management with Creative, Communications, and Strategy colleagues for campaign execution
  • Maintain full ownership of operational aspects of campaign and project execution and reporting in Workfront, ensuring that work is on time and on budget.
  • Conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
  • Provide day-to-day work guidance to the project team, which may include internal agency employees, vendors/contractors, and hired consultants
  • Organize and plan campaign and project status and progress meetings; documents project summary, and provide Account Manager and/or senior leadership ongoing updates concerning campaign and project completion
  • Responsible for preparing project budget and managing fiscal performance to plan; ensure campaign and project costs are controlled and carefully monitored, both hours and dollars
  • Effectively manage multidisciplinary teams, which may consist of creatives, technologists, media experts, data analysts, etc.
  • Monitor out-of-scope requests and initiates additional estimates and approvals
  • Champion quality and integrity of in-house agency deliverables
  • Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans
  • Attend regular meetings with counterparts to prioritize work
  • Lead the development of proposals and statements of work.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Effectively manages projects by developing work plans, obtaining approvals, estimating and tracking resource requirements, and communicating with stakeholders
  • Proactively monitors the progress of multiple projects by tracking activities, spend, and outcomes
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possesses specialized skills or experience relative to operations/process excellence
  • Prior experience working on a virtual team within a highly matrixed organization, preferably for a global corporation or professional services firm
  • Identifies and/or follows leading practices to assess resources and budget for client projects and initiatives
  • Skilled at gaining consensus when differing viewpoints are presented
  • Demonstrates leadership, maturity, and accountability through extracurricular and community activities
  • Develops and manages project budgets
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exhibits a high level of professionalism with a strong executive presence
  • Collaborates and builds relationships, both virtually and in-person, with colleagues, stakeholders, and teams across the organization to meet shared objectives
  • Skilled at negotiating, with the ability to solve complex problems and demonstrate agility
  • Provides strategic and tactical counsel that helps achieve clients' business goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Capable of navigating and performing research on the Internet
  • Consistently delivers marketing programs with high-quality results
  • Supports delivering the firm’s story to a variety of stakeholders through multiple communication channels and thought leadership initiatives as defined by our corporate communications strategy

Technical skills:

  • Leverages technology to support and enhance communication processes
  • Uses Workfront to enhance collaboration, manage assets and maintain visibility of project workflows

Preferred:

  • Advertising/agency experience
  • Project Management Certification a plus
