This is a contract assignment, hours are 9:00AM – 5:30PM EST M-F in Piscataway, New Jersey Office (no hybrid schedules – 100% onsite in Piscataway M-F)
End date is April 2023 – with a chance of extension
Helpdesk / IT Support experience (in-person)
The ideal candidate with have 1-3 years of experience
The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, supporting an ERP system, and working with servers
Responsibilities:
Maintain a superior level of knowledge of server/client operating systems and various applications that are essential for business.
Accustomed to working in a small team with variable workloads and responsibilities.
Comfortable collaborating with IT personnel based in different countries.
Ensure IT helpdesk and tickets issued are handled in an efficient manner.
Provide IT training to new users and possess an ability to patiently continue teaching and reinforcing concepts.
Ability to prioritize and pivot as business needs and stakeholders' needs change.
Must be responsive on an as-needed basis, especially if are experiencing critical issues that may impact business.
Proactive in providing IT Management informed on all IT-related information that may impact business.
Assist in the maintenance of all of the hardware which includes but is not limited to laptops, desktops, servers, printers, mobile devices, routers, switches, etc.
Notify vendors when equipment needs to be repaired and/or obtain vendor Return Authorizations while keeping records.
Take lead on IT projects as delegated by IT management.
Performs regular preventive maintenance for computer, data communication, and/or peripherals.
Willingness to follow, improve and help create departmental policies such as the organization of IT spaces and documentation guidelines.
