Pay Range: $23 to $27 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive billing support within a legal vendor environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-volume billing and customer service support, along with proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, Apple iWork, TeamConnect, and support ticketing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process billing transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Handle billing inquiries and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
- Generate and distribute invoices, statements, and reports as required.
- Maintain accurate billing records and documentation for auditing purposes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of billing procedures and workflows to optimize efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to billing processes and systems.
- Provide training and support to staff members on billing-related tasks and systems.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of billing support experience, preferably within a legal vendor environment.
- Demonstrated experience in handling high-volume billing and customer service support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Apple iWork applications.
- Experience using TeamConnect or similar billing software is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with support ticketing systems or equivalent customer-facing service experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and billing processing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external clients.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma (or GED) is required. A college degree is preferred.
